And even if i stumble i will surely RISE again

January has been a really Difficult month, starting a new year with so many uncertainties and the ending of the festive period really made me stumble. I felt so hopeless, so broken with thoughts that were so dark I was exhausted and totally burnt out.

Following a period of low mood and some impulsive behavior, I realized that I needed to pick myself back up. Team, Orbis has been totally amazing and have helped me to get things back on track. They have supported me no matter what and have never left my side through my most difficult days. They have helped me to put plans into place that have enabled me to find myself again.

Throughout this episode, I continually felt like I had lost myself, that Amy had disappeared. All I could see was a black hole, I thought COVID19 was going to end the world I was very lost.

Team Orbis has helped me to initiate my WRAP plan and also helped me to put into place a tighter daily structure to help me overcome this blip. I have made changes that have massively helped me, I realized too late that trying to be busy and keep going was the worst thing I could do

Throughout the last month I have taken time out for myself, I have looked after myself, I have taken time for self-care. Engaging in sensory time and doing things for me, I have done lots of jigsaws and diamond painting which has helped distract my anxieties but sensory activities have been the number 1 go to this month. I have been on some really nice long walks around my local area and I am finally feeling brighter more me ready to face the upcoming year.

The support I have had from friends and family has been next to nothing. A special shout out to Aimee Wilson for helping me to understand that recovery is not linear, read her blog post here Aimee is a good friend and such an inspirational blogger.

To team Orbis for being there for me every step of the way and for supporting me no matter what. You all really mean the world to me and I don't know what I would do without you in my life.

To Geoff for keeping me updated and keeping in contact with me, for continually understanding my situation, and for the endless reassurance.

it's onwards and upwards from now on, as I strive to get back into work, whilst allowing myself time for self-care and self-love. Because its the most important thing to be able to stay strong and to manage my mental health.
